Project description:
In a collaboration with Net Impact Davis, the UCCE Master Gardener Network, the EC Gardens and the Student Farm, this project hosts a series of gardening workshops that focus on building sustainable gardening skills and knowledge. This project created a media campaign along with the workshops in order to cultivate a community of practice that makes gardening more accessible, affordable, and appealing for UC Davis students, especially those from lower income backgrounds, first-generation students, and students of color. An article with more information about this project can be found here, and the Garden 101 Workshop series can be viewed here.
