TGIF’s funds enable the UC Davis community to turn innovative ideas into impactful solutions. Our projects expand opportunities for students by creating jobs and leadership opportunities. Additionally, TGIF advances all aspects of sustainability (environmental, economic, and social) by funding projects that improve access to education and research, supporting the creation of programs that address inequality gaps, and reducing environmental harms, such as greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste generation.

The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) at UC Davis is funded by undergraduate student fees and supports student-led projects that make campus more sustainable. From reducing waste to advancing clean energy, TGIF has helped turn student ideas into meaningful environmental action. Check out our funded projects over the past 10 years!
Note: During the 2022-2023 AY, TGIF was operating with limited funds and working to renew through a ballot referendum, so TGIF only funded one Mini Grant
