Project description:

In order to increase educational opportunities, promote environmental awareness, and advocate for climate and environmental justice, this project encompasses two Climate Reality Projects: 1) 24 Hours of Reality: The Truth in Action and 2) Talking to Your Relatives About Climate Change. The UC Davis chapter of The Climate Reality Project participates in the 24 Hours of Reality global event by hosting speakers from a variety of organizations and backgrounds to talk about the climate crisis and how it has affected their livelihoods. The chapter also hosts zero-waste potluck style events with presentations and activities that teach students strategies and tips on how to talk to their relatives about the impacts and causes of climate change.
