Project description:

This project aims to make energy accessible to everyone in a sustainable and carbon neutral way. It utilizes new findings in chemical catalyst research in order to make oxidation of non-carbon-based fuels more efficient and better for the Earth. With the combustion of ammonia any community would be able generate power from their waste with no carbon footprint. This stage of the project focuses on catalyst testing with a continuous gas stream in order to reduce NOx emissions, while training undergraduate students in experimental catalysis, emissions analysis, and sustainable energy research.
