Project description:
This project is the first step in a multi-tiered project aimed at teaching students and members of the UC Davis community about traditional Indigenous foods of the Americas by establishing a speaker series on traditional Indigenous foods, increasing food sustainability and food security at UC Davis, creating an inter-departmental internship program for current students, and laying the groundwork for an Indigenous foods garden that will incorporate traditional ecological knowledge.
