Project description:

The Eco Makerspace project aims to transform the Makerspace in the Department of Design at UC Davis into a beacon of sustainable design education and innovation. As sustainable initiatives remain urgent, we will engage students, staff, and faculty in acting toward sustainable making practices by updating protocols and implementing a more sustainable prototype lifecycle and equipment. The Cruess Hall Makerspace was a renovation completed in 2021 that was awarded silver LEED certification. To take our LEED building a step further, we want to turn it into an Eco Makerspace.
