Project description:

This project plans to develop a Climate Adaptive Learning Landscape in the courtyard of Cruess Hall. This collaboration between students, faculty, and staff from the Design, Cinema and Digital Media, Campus Planning, and Arboretum and Public Garden will feature drought tolerant, climate resilient plantings, and a teaching patio. The project cuts waste by creating upcycled furniture fabricated from materials diverted from the campus waste stream. The courtyard will serve as a living laboratory for sustainable design student projects and a demonstration site for the campus community and beyond.
