SLLC East (SLLC East Entry) Project
The SLLC (Sustainable Living and Learning Communities) East Entry Project creates and implements a student/community-centered design and sustainable management plan for one of the small semi-natural habitat areas left on the North side of campus, adjacent to the Student Farm.
The project designs borders, pathways, signage, and offers education about habitat preservation and the critical ecosystem services that minimally-disturbed areas are able to provide. The project also develops a sustainable stewardship plan for 'the Woods', which provides UCD students with rich experimental learning through a project that develops professional skills in sustainable design, climate change adaptivity, and development along urban/agricultural interfaces.
