This short film and tabletop interactive map exhibit are part of an exhibition at the UC Davis Design Museum that takes an engaging and critical look at the visionary housing development of Village Homes in Davis, California, an example of sustainable and community living, energy efficiency and design, and a model for adapting to today’s climate crisis. This community and public exhibition tells a 50 year story of sustainability research and radical planning that is uniquely influenced by students, faculty and staff at UC Davis and still remains deeply relevant today.
