Project description:

This project accomplishes two goals. First, it increases the collaboration between university researchers and community governance efforts to assist farmworkers. Second, it increases awareness of regional farmworker issues within the UCD undergraduate student community and surrounding Davis community. This project directly serves the TGIF aim of improving “educational opportunity” and advocating for “environmental justice” in the “immediate region” since it focuses on increasing outreach, community involvement, and collaboration with university researchers, undergraduate students and associated university programs.
