Position Title: TGIF GRANT PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Summary: 

UC Davis Sustainability seeks an experienced TGIF GRANT PROGRAM MANAGER for a 50% time, contract position to oversee UC Davis' student-funded internal sustainability grants program. The successful incumbent will manage and coordinate The Green Initiative Fund student fee-funded sustainability grant program by supporting the majority undergraduate TGIF Committee; working collaboratively to ensure proper financial oversight of funds; developing and managing proposal submission, review, and award processes; engaging the campus community with TGIF; and cultivating a collaborative working environment and transformative experiential learning experience for both the TGIF Committee and grant recipients. The position reports to both Sustainability’s Engagement Program Manager and Director, and works closely with The Green Initiative Fund
Committee.

This contract position will be for one-year with the possibility of extension.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Organize and work closely with the majority undergraduate TGIF Committee, schedule Committee meetings, work with the Committee to set agendas, take meeting minutes, and ensure follow-up on meeting action items.
  • Work collaboratively and secure the confidence of Committee members and colleagues.
  • Assist Engagement Program Manager/Director and Committee in implementing a plan for TGIF to include annual goals, expenditure budget, and management strategies for successful implementation of the TGIF program.
  • Manage the grant program with high integrity and attention to detail; within established budget parameters; and ensure that all audit requirements are met.
  • Work with constituencies to help develop proposals and metrics or indicators to demonstrate success of funded proposals.
  • Maintain a project-tracking database and ensure that awarded proposals are successfully completed and documented.
  • Work closely with Committee members to ensure projects are completed according to the goals outlined in proposals and pursuing appropriate action if project leads deviate from the previously approved stated goals.
  • In consultation with the Committee and Engagement Program Manager/Director, serve as the budget, organizational and staff spokesperson for TGIF, when requested by Engagement Program Manager/Director.
  • Regularly report to the Committee on status of proposals and awarded projects.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures, interpret relevant policy, and serve as a liaison to campus administrative and academic units.
